1st BASE's 5-step QC process
Our 5-Step Quality Control checks are put in place to monitor processes at every step
so that your work is not compromised in any way. Using the Maldi-TOF,
1st BASE oligos are passed through stringent checks so that you are assured of high-quality products.
- Trityl monitoring at 3 stages during oligo synthesis process
- All completed oligos undergo Mass Spectrometry Quality Analysis,
where they are benchmarked against our acceptance criteria of ± 0.2% and ± 0.5% of the
calculated molecular mass for below 30-mer and above 30-mer base length respectively - For oligos not suitable for MS analysis, HPLC or PAGE analysis is used
- Oligos are tested for their functionality through weekly in-house PCR tests
- "QC Recall Programme" - Our stringent Pre-delivery QC ensures that all oligos are delivered in excellent condition.
For post-delivery QC, should we suspect that quality is compromised, customers will be alerted immediately and a priority replacement is made

High-Throughput Oligos (HT-Oligos)
High-throughput applications such as genome sequencing, oligo libraries and micro- array applications require quality and low-cost oligos that are standardized for ease of automation.
1st BASE supplies HT oligos in 96-well plate format, with normalized oligo concentration in dH2O or 1xTE and volume. A minimum order of 60 oligos per plate is required. Otherwise, a fee is applicable. Please also enquire on our ordering templates.
